I’m surprised to see the WAP presented as an argument for the multiverse, I’ve never encountered it this way. The way I interpret this principle is not as a theory, but as a tautological statement: if the universe was not built in such a way to support life, there would be no life here to notice it.

So rather than offering itself as a model for how things are or might be, I would consider it a dismissal of any attempt to rationalize the state of the universe as “finely tuned”.
